About Us

Who We Are

Truth Fellowship Church is a local church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Benson, NC. TFC was founded in August 2023 by a core group of believers who desire to see Jesus lifted high to be worshiped in spirit and truth and to lead others to new life in Christ through the proclamation of the Gospel. TFC is a non-denominational local church that is committed to unwaveringly teaching the core doctrines of the Christian faith as expressed in God’s Word, the Bible, and in many instances aligns with the doctrinal positions of the Southern Baptist Convention (without subjecting itself to the SBC’s oversight or rulemaking).

Our Goal

To fulfill the command of Christ in Matthew 28:19-20 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (NASB1995)

Our Vision

To see the lost saved and the saved sanctified

Jesus’s final words to His disciples was an imperative command to evangelize the entire world. The local church is called to join Jesus in His work to “seek and to save the lost” by telling the Good News of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection as a saving work for all who will come to Him in faith and confess Him as Lord. TFC takes this command seriously and desires to equip the saints for this glorious work. The apostle Paul’s writings speak often and at length about the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in each believers life. The local church is an agent of this process of the Holy Spirit through it’s coming together for preaching, teaching, prayer and study and by a mutual accountability that has agape love as it’s root.

Our Mission

To equip disciples of Christ to live a lifestyle of worship through preaching, praying and studying the word of God together.

The community of believers is ordained by God for His children who are born of the Spirit and adopted into the family of God to live lifestyles that bring glory to the Father in all ways. This is manifested in worship of the Father through the preaching of His Word, individual and congregational prayer and the communal study of God’s word. Failing to meet together as the Body of believers is disobedience to God’s revealed will for His children and comes from a desire to elevate the believer above the Father.

Core Values

We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by making disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey the commands of Christ. We believe in reaching the lost with the gospel and nurturing believers to grow in their faith.

We value worship that is rooted in the truth of God's Word and guided by the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to equip disciples of Christ to live a lifestyle of worship that reflects both personal devotion and communal praise, honoring God in every aspect of life.

We believe the Word of God is essential for spiritual growth. Through preaching, teaching, and study, we seek to equip believers with a deep, personal understanding of the Scriptures, enabling them to live according to God’s will and to teach others in turn.

We value the ongoing work of sanctification in the lives of believers, striving to grow in Christlikeness through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to seeing the saved sanctified, becoming more like Christ through obedience to His Word and the pursuit of holiness in every area of life.

We are dedicated to training and equipping the next generation with the wisdom and understanding that comes from knowing God (Proverbs 9:10). We seek to pass down a legacy of faith, ensuring that future generations will continue to worship God, follow His commands, and spread the gospel.
